Killer Grid Heater Upgrade Kit for 6.7L Cummins
SKU: 1041520
Protect your engine from catastrophic failure. The Killer Grid Heater Upgrade Kit addresses a critical design flaw in the 6.7L Cummins intake. This kit eliminates the risk of internal hardware failure while maintaining factory heat output and full emissions compliance.
Key Features
Engine Protection: Eliminates the problematic nuts found in the OE grid heater by fastening directly into the lower busbar.
Retains Performance: Allows for full heat output with the stock intake grid heater (no cold start issues).
Secure Connection: Features self-locking threads built into the lower busbar to prevent the connection from backing out and compromising the electrical circuit.
Complete Kit: Includes replacement hardware, gaskets, and special tools required for the job.
Emissions Compliant: Fully 50-State Legal (SEMA Certification No. SC-BDD01-0135).
Patent Pending Design: Purpose-built for durability.
About This Product: The Problem vs. The Solution
The Problem: The 6.7L Cummins engine suffers from a flaw in the electrical connection to the intake grid heater. When powering the heater, 200 amps pass through a small bolt and nut inside the intake. Over time, this connection deteriorates, arcs, and eventually breaks off. If this nut drops into the engine, it causes extensive damage to the piston, head, and valves.
The Solution: Current market solutions are often costly, reduce heat performance in cold climates, or require tuning. This Upgrade Kit fixes the flawed circuit by permanently eliminating the problematic internal bolts and nuts. It is cost-effective, easy to install, and keeps your truck working exactly as the factory intended—just safer.
