Available Steering Stabilizer Mount Options:

• No Mount (I already have a 1 5/8" Clamp): Select this if you are reusing an existing 1.625" steering stabilizer clamp.

• Standard Tie Rod Mount: A heavy-duty 3/16" hot rolled steel plate bracket that easily bolts on to reposition your aftermarket stabilizer up and out of harm's way. Finished in zinc chromate.

• Billet Tie Rod Mount: A premium two-piece CNC Aluminum Billet design finished in black anodize with a laser-engraved "M" logo. Allows for maximum performance positioning. (MetalCloak highly recommends using anti-seize on all billet mount bolts).

What is the tie rod made of? It is constructed from normalized 4130 Chromoly steel tubing featuring a 1.625” outer diameter and a .375” wall thickness. This provides a massive 97,200 PSI yield strength, making it significantly stronger than the vulnerable factory JK tie rod.

What does the "Anti-Flop" feature do? The exclusive forged 1-ton dog-leg rod ends are engineered specifically for the Jeep JK. They allow for full side-to-side articulation to prevent binding on the trail, while intentionally limiting front-to-back movement. This eliminates the "tie rod flop" common in other aftermarket steering setups.

Do I need to weld the steering stabilizer mount? No welding is required for either mount option. Both the Standard 3/16" Steel Mount and the Billet Aluminum Mount are 100% bolt-on designs that clamp directly to the 1.625" tubing.
