Description
The Banks Monster-Ram Intake and Killer Grid Heater Upgrade is the ultimate solution to prevent catastrophic engine failure in your 6.7L Cummins while drastically improving airflow and throttle response.
Why upgrade? Factory Cummins grid heaters are prone to failure due to heat and vibration. A stud and nut can vibrate loose, fall into cylinder #6, and destroy the engine. This kit entirely removes the restrictive stock grid heater, replacing it with a zero-restriction high-flow intake plate and a vertical 750-watt coil heater that maintains cold-start reliability without the risk.
Key Features & Benefits:
-
Prevents Engine Failure: Eliminates the "ticking time bomb" factory grid heater bolt issue.
-
Massive Airflow Gains: Outflows the stock intake by 88.3% for improved throttle response, lower EGTs, and better fuel economy.
-
Cold Weather Ready: Includes a 750W vertical coil heater that maintains OEM-like cold start performance down to -30°F (upgradeable to 2250W).
-
Complete Kit: Includes the Banks High-Flow Intake Plate and an upgraded, burst-tested fuel line.
-
Emissions Compliant: 50-state emissions legal.
Vehicle Fitment:
-
2007.5-2012 Dodge Ram 2500 & 3500 (6.7L Cummins Diesel)
-
Note: Also fits triple-alternator engines. Does NOT fit Chassis Cab models.
